Talons Cove is one of my favorite tracks to play. The course resides on the east side of Utah Lake with fantastic views of the lake and mountains to the east.
The course is very fun to play yet challenging. The style is a links flavor, with rolling hills shaping the fairways and green complexes. Shotmaking and course management are very important on this course. Many holes require precisely placed shots to keep the ball in the correct landing spots.
The clubhouse is large and can accommodate large groups, banquets etc.
Check the yardages to the doglegs or hazards before simply hitting driver on every tee. For instance, driver on hole #10 may not be the best choice.
Try not to hit it in the rolling hills! If you can find your ball, it will be very difficult to get it back into play. Don't try to be a hero if you find the native hills. Get out of trouble as quickly as possible.
